About us
The Patent Office is an independent state institution operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice to pursue the government policy in the field of legal protection of industrial property and protection of industrial property within the scope of their competence in accordance with the corresponding laws of the Republic of Latvia.
The Patent Office is accepting and considering the applications received from legal and natural entities for legal protection of inventions, designs and trademarks, issuing the patents and certificates on protection thereof, and keeps the relevant public registers.
