The functions of the Personnel Management Department:
- Administration of the list of candidates for positions as Court Administration employees and civil servants, and as judges;
- Organising the selection of judges, Court Administration employees and civil servants;
- Elaborating training strategies and administering the training process for Court Administration employees and civil servants, also co-ordinating the training of judges;
- Organising and managing personnel documentation;
- Organising the career planning for civil servants at the Court Administration and organising the assessment of civil servants;
- Organising professional on-the-job training for judges and court personnel;
- Organising events at which judges take their oath of office before the President of Latvia;
- Organising the meetings of the Council of Court Chairpersons.
