Today, 13 June, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia welcomed representatives of the youth organisation Club “Māja”. During the visit, the young people were introduced to the Ministry’s daily work, current priorities, and challenges in strengthening the rule of law both in Latvia and at the European Union level.
The group had the opportunity to meet with Minister for Justice Inese Lībiņa-Egnere and discuss topical issues in the field of justice in Latvia and the European Union. The meeting also covered questions about the Minister’s daily work, responsibilities, and decision-making processes. The young people actively engaged in the discussion and asked questions of interest related to strengthening the rule of law and the Ministry’s work in various areas.
At the end of the visit, the group visited the Supreme Court and its museum, which preserves historical evidence and documents on the beginnings of the Senate’s activities and the development of Latvia’s judicial system across different periods of history.
We thank the organisation’s representatives for their active participation and interest!
