Conduction and translation of Recommendations and Guidelines „Effective adoption, transposition, implementation and application of European Union legislation in the area of civil justice” (hereafter – guidelines) was finished on May, 2015.

The guidelines gather and analyze information and good practice on adoption, transposition, implementation and application of European Union legislation in the area of civil justice on national level in Latvia, Hungary, United Kingdom, Sweden and Germany. Furthermore, guidelines gather and analyze information whether control exists at the national level in effective transposition of EU legislation.

The guidelines were conducted by Inga Kačevska Law Office in in close cooperation with Ministries of Justice of Latvia, United Kingdom and Hungary.

The guidelines were conducted within the Civil Justice Programme of the European Union project “CJEU and its case law in the area of civil justice” (No. JUST/2013/JCIV/AG/4691). The implementation of the project was started on 1st of March 2014 by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia.

The aim of the project – to remove obstacles in EU civil justice area, to analyze application of EU law in the field of civil justice at the national level, as well as to contribute proper application of CJEU case-law in the decisions and judgments of national courts and in drafting national legal acts.

The closing conference of the project will be held and guidelines will be presented in Jūrmala on June 10-12
